This position is responsible for driving DevOps strategy, leading cloud infrastructure and automation initiatives, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of production environments. You will independently own complex technical initiatives, lead infrastructure modernization efforts, define DevOps standards and best practices, and provide technical leadership across engineering teams. The role requires strong expertise in CI/CD, cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, observability, and DevSecOps, with responsibility for designing scalable cloud-native architectures, driving automation, improving platform reliability, mentoring engineers, and partnering with development and security teams to deliver high-quality, resilient solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS SAM, or similar tools
• Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, and OpenShift with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
• Lead application modernization initiatives through containerization and microservices adoption using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Architect and operate secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Drive infrastructure automation initiatives using Bash, Python, Node.js, or similar scripting languages
• Optimize cloud cost and resource utilization
• Implement and enhance observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, OpenSearch, ELK Stack, and related technologies
• Establish and maintain centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
• Secure cloud environments through IAM, KMS, API security, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps best practices
• Manage and optimize serverless services such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions
• Define reference architectures and best practices for microservices, containerized, and serverless workloads
• Collaborate with development teams to improve developer productivity through self-service infrastructure and deployment automation
• Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for critical production issues
• Define and drive DevOps standards, governance, and best practices across engineering teams
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on cloud, automation, and platform engineering initiatives
• Partner with stakeholders to align DevOps initiatives with business goals and delivery timelines
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to improve platform reliability, security, and operational efficiency

The ideal candidate for the position should have the following qualifications and skills:

Technical Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps processes, cloud infrastructure management, automation, and CI/CD implementation
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, and OpenShift
• Experience with CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, and ArgoCD
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, and release management practices
• Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices, deployment strategies, and automation frameworks
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS SAM, or similar tools
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, OpenSearch, and ELK Stack
• Experience in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, Node.js, or similar languages
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines
• Experience designing and supporting scalable, highly available cloud-native environments
• Experience leading DevOps initiatives, infrastructure modernization, and cloud adoption programs
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, DNS management, API Gateway, and infrastructure security
• Strong understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and resilience principles
• Knowledge of serverless computing platforms such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions
• Knowledge of cloud IAM policies, access management, and identity governance
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of relevant DevOps experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, and production operations
• Certifications in AWS (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer), Azure (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert), or Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD/CKS) are a plus
